I have always loved working out and have been that girl that is always rallying her friends and family to work out too. I grew up in the 80’s high impact aerobics era. I taught aerobics during and after college and on a cruise ship for 2 months around South America. I have always worked out at clubs or at home but was getting bored with the same old workouts and not seeing the results I wanted as I got older.
A friend told me about Farmgirlfit that doesn’t even live here! I checked it out online and came to try out a class. I was excited to try something new, but afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up. I am always amazed at the strength the women at Farmgirlfit have. I love working out with women of all ages and fitness levels. Having someone beside me running faster and lifting more weight pushes me to work harder! The trainers are great and I appreciate them correcting my form and making me do things right! I still have a long way to go but I see my strength increasing. I smile when I think of Farmgirlfit and talk about it all the time! I am excited to now have my daughter working out with me!
I have never been a runner and if given the option I would row instead of run, but when I heard a trainer say…”only row if you can’t physically run” it made me get my butt out there and run. Now when I hear “go warm up with a 400m run, I just do it!” My next goal is to do a pull up without a band! Those pull –up kipping girls ROCK!
I love that my body feels stronger. My entire physical and mental self is better with exercise!
As a Dietitian, I am a believer in eating and exercising for a healthy body, it is a lifestyle. Every day is not going to be perfect, recognize it and get back to your routine. My goal is to be healthy, strong, decrease the “muffin top”, happy and have fun with life
A different workout every time, so awesome!! My muscles are always confused, just what they need!
I love to travel, so I take the workouts with me on the road and do them in the gym or make modifications jumping up and down on park benches and getting my family and friends to do them with me.
Spending time with my family and friends, traveling, playing with our dogs, and lots of summer activities-boating, waterskiing and jet skiing .
It may seem hard in the beginning but you will be glad you joined when you see your body getting stronger. Stay committed and don’t give up!
